Never watching Inglorious Bastards before and seeing it for the first time I actually enjoyed the film. The dark humor that was taking place throughout the film really made me laugh. I also really liked how the different chapters told a different part of the plot and in the final chapter every world meets which I really enjoyed. Also sometimes throughout the movie there would be a lot of suspense like when Hans goes to pierre’s house asking about the Jewish farmers. When Han figures out they are beneath the floorboards he pretends to leave and has the soldiers shoot the family. That was the most suspenseful part for me. Also the amount of different languages spoken between all the characters from German to the poorly spoken Italian by the Bastards. The ongoing switching of languages causes you to pay attention because you might miss important details. Since the film is supposed to be during World War 2 the amount of violence of course is extreme. The violence throughout the movie made it harder when a character would die during a shootout. When Hans choked out Bridget in the room I was really upset at that fact also when half of the bastards died in the basement bar. It was also weird how both Pierre and Shosanna (Emmanuelle) had conversations with hans it was almost the same thing with the milk and smokes. Both interactions seemed very similar.
