Watching Cache was a little different since I never was really interested in foreign films until I saw 400 blows then I became more interested in foreign films. This film at first I was confused on how or what was going on and why the tapes were being sent to Georges home. It comes to turn out after all George has a not so good past which actually comes back to bite him. Since it seems like George feels guilty about what he had done to Majid while they were kids. The tapes are a representation of how this is coming back to hurt him now. I really didn’t get who was sending George the films because he is a famous person on a tv show so I thought it was a stalker or something. Then it seemed to be someone closer to him than usual which we come to find out that Majids son and Georges son talk to each other in the final scenes of the film to give us that final question on who was sending the tapes to them. I Personally think it was Georges son because he is the only person able to be leaving tapes in such close areas to the house and close to George.
What I really was interested in The 400 blows was the realism that was presented in the film. Many of the shots had real life architecture with the Eiffel Tower and other French buildings and streets. But even the story line was very realistic with Antonie. It was just a simple plot about a kid life who just seems to be bad kid. But after a while the pieces come together and you can see why he does the things he does. The plot is basic enough where everyone can understand the story. At the same time that’s why the movie is so relatable. Many people viewing the movie at its time of release may have had to go through the same hardships and struggles that Antonie had to go through. Even people now can still relate to him. Also it shows how a kid interprets life and being an adult. Even in his actions of being a kid doing bad things you can still have sympathy for him because of his hard life at home and school.
Us by Jordan Peele I had watched before and had liked how he really was using sublayers to voice real world problems in our world. The shadow people are really just another version of ourselves if we were deprived of basic needs and just lived life without a soul. Red explains how they ate rabbits when they ate and also in the boardwalk scene you can see when people actually are on rides the shadow people just stand in rooms and shake. The visual image for that was weird to watch but it can see how it has a deeper social meaning because of the fact how we actually deprive people who technically are Lower than us just like the shadow people who lived in the tunnels underneath the ground. The shadow people are basically the reflection of ourselves just if we were without a soul but since they are bonded to us by that they are not really feeling all the same emotions that we can feel since they are not the ones able to experience the full thing . this also made me think about how we really aren’t that different from most people we are just separated by social classes and we all just want the same experiences in life with family and others around which is what it seemed like Red was longing for.
Shutter Island is one of my favorite movies to watch. Not just because it has Leo in it but since it causes you to constantly keep thinking and second guessing and doubting yourself into not knowing if everything was a lie or not. Also wondering if Teddy is real or if he is actually Andrew. The water and fire both had symbols. Teddy was scared of water it made him nauseous. When he talks about his wife dying in the fire and having dreams about her she never is burning only everything around them is burning .Every time Teddy gets a headache he takes the pills from the doctor to make his head better but ends up falling asleep and dreaming about Dolores and that is what is keeping him there initially. Then to counter his judgement for the most of the movie it is raining or somehow water is involved. Also the fact that if we the viewer are left to decide if Leo is really Andrew or Teddy. This makes us think about all the ptsd and stress trauma Teddy has gone through to really think about if he really who he claims to be. The fact that his partner was actually someone from the government trying to set him up on the island kinda sways the ideas again on which character is the real character.
Never watching Inglorious Bastards before and seeing it for the first time I actually enjoyed the film. The dark humor that was taking place throughout the film really made me laugh. I also really liked how the different chapters told a different part of the plot and in the final chapter every world meets which I really enjoyed. Also sometimes throughout the movie there would be a lot of suspense like when Hans goes to pierre’s house asking about the Jewish farmers. When Han figures out they are beneath the floorboards he pretends to leave and has the soldiers shoot the family. That was the most suspenseful part for me. Also the amount of different languages spoken between all the characters from German to the poorly spoken Italian by the Bastards. The ongoing switching of languages causes you to pay attention because you might miss important details. Since the film is supposed to be during World War 2 the amount of violence of course is extreme. The violence throughout the movie made it harder when a character would die during a shootout. When Hans choked out Bridget in the room I was really upset at that fact also when half of the bastards died in the basement bar. It was also weird how both Pierre and Shosanna (Emmanuelle) had conversations with hans it was almost the same thing with the milk and smokes. Both interactions seemed very similar.
Bonnie and Clyde was really entertaining for me. I enjoyed how the whole story of Bonnie and Clyde that was depicted in the film. Even though the movie is based on the real life events putting it into a movie makes it seem like their life was actually a real life movie. I defiantly liked how real it felt even though it was filmed at a different time the music, clothes and scenery made it feel like I was going through the same stuff with them right then and there. I had always been interested in watching and learning about Bonnie and Clyde. My favorite scene might have to be when they have a shoot out with the police and Blanche starts screaming the whole time while everyone is shooting back and forth with the police. The whole scene is crazy and once the gang picks her back up in the car Bonnie started screaming at her which really made me laugh. I really enjoyed the movie because is was based on real life events. The movie also made me like them a lot more because they were seen as very dangerous criminals but at the end of the day they were just two lovers who were living life to the fullest. I did feel bad at the end when they had been set up by Malcolm and had been mowed down. The movie felt more of like a Shakespeare tragedy because of how it ended and how these two completely opposite people met each other and became the most wanted people in the country.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
